The Shoreline Center is committed to providing a clean and safe therapy environment for our patients and their families. Our approach to this is to rely on current information and recommendations issued by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), the Ottawa County Department of Health, and the Autism Alliance of Michigan.
We want you to feel good about your child attending therapy, so please contact us with any questions or concerns. Patient Illness Policy
In order to prevent the spread of illness, we ask that you reschedule your appointment if the patient has any of the following symptoms:
Fever of 100.4 degrees or more - Please be free of fever (without medication) for 24 hours (1 day) before a therapy appointment - unless COVID-19 exposure has occurred.
Cough / runny nose (not otherwise explained by underlying conditions like asthma or allergies) Shortness of breath, or difficulty breathing.
Rash – Please have the rash evaluated by a physician before arriving for an appointment.
Stomachache, vomiting, or diarrhea.
New loss of taste or smell.
Head lice – Please be treated and nit free before arriving for an appointment.
Pink Eye – Please be evaluated by a physician and on medication for 24 hours before arriving for an appointment.
Note that if your child arrives at The Shoreline Center, LLC exhibiting symptoms of any of the above illnesses, they may be sent home.
